An extremely sunny morning as I met the Mense family at an unusually dry Botanical Garden in Pretoria. Nevertheless we got going with the spirit of their little man who has one of the brightest smiles on the planet. The little guy was certainly in charge and was without doubt the star of this growing German family.   The Menses are a German family who by now would have already landed back home after their three years in our beautiful country. As a last memory they decided a good way to remember the their last few weeks by capturing their beautiful family.   I wish them all the best...

I love following a journey, simply because I have a curious nature. I am incredibly inquisitive and I as much as I like to imagine how people end up after I've met them, it is 100 times more satisfying actually knowing. This is partly why I do newborn shoots. When chatting to Marie deciding on where our location would be, she suggested Gold Reef City. Straight away I thought why haven't I done this before. Fair enough with a pregnant stomach, the rides aren't exactly the best place for you. Gold Reef has definitely bloomed over the past few years since I was last there. It is such a clean and attractive park. I have never shot anything at Waterfall Estates in Midrand, but driving through the area, I have always pictured how great it would be. It is a hefty sized piece of land, but incredibly well kept and looked after with handful of water holes and weeping willows. Real picturesque style of views. Perfect for a maternity shoot.   When I first met Noy, I was blown away. Pregnancy really makes her glow and her incredible features make my camera smile.
