It seems lately that I am a bit of a rain charmer with nearly all my weddings lately being blessed with torrential downpours. The great thing though about having rain on your wedding day, is all the new creative possibilities you that face you head on, not to mention how much it will test your resolve and calmness. Luckily I have incredibly clients! None more so than Caryann and Paul who took everything in their stride. A day that started with bright golden sunshine quickly turned into cloud burst and brought with it many a slippery surface and puddle ridden gardens.
Luckily for us the amazing Oakfield’s Farm along with their extremely helpful staff seemed to shine even more in the rain. The lush, well designed gardens with all their greenery seemed to grab the eye more than usual and being forced under roof helped us find a hidden gem for some truly unique images. Paul was a legend with his calm demeanor (no doubt picked up on an Irish rugby pitch) and Caryann looked incredible in her one of kind wedding gown! Thanks must also go to Cowley photography for being my 2IC on the day and handling Paul and his groomsmen so well!
I had an incredible time shooting this wedding. Paul was in his element in front of his Irish family and friends that traveled down south for the wedding and Caryann couldnt have looked happier! I wish them both many more years of adventure and look forward to hearing about it!
