Probably the coldest wedding I have ever shot. Close to sub-zero temperatures, misty plains and some rain to boot. Not something you want your wedding day to be remembered by. However that didn’t seem to damper anyone’s spirit. Aimee and Sjan were getting married and everyone was ready to celebrate.Although with attitudes like that you can imagine the jokes flying around about the co-incidence of the weather and their wedding date.
Aimee and Sjan though are two very down to earth folk who don’t let much get them down. Besides the weather, there was no drama, no hiccups and no issues that weren’t quickly resolved. The day seemed to simply fall in place seamlessly. Even with the challenge of the cold and the wet and the vanishing light, the photos come out better than I had hoped for and that was mostly down to the great people these two had around them.
The weather won’t be the only memory I have of this wedding, but more-so the spirit of the two and the happiness they share from each other. I look forward to hearing about their adventure together and wish them nothing but the best.
A big thanks must also go out to Johan from J&N Photography for being my 2nd photographer for the day.
I wish to live a life that causes my soul to dance inside my body.
