Happy parents quite simply make happy kids. Jenna and Wesley are probably the happiest couple I know. After shooting their wedding in 2015 it was time to update the archives and get the two of them with their awesome kids back in front of the camera.
One thing I love about our beautiful country are the warm winters. However cold and dismal a day may start it will 9 times out of 10 be riddled with sunshine and our warm winter glow. This day was no different as we followed the stream from Modderfontein Reserve's Fish Eagle Dam. The Krugers are an adventurous bunch and so easy to shoot.
This is probably one of my most memorable of the year, and a lot of that has to do with the curliness of this little boys hair. This little guy was such a light in my day, with an incredible nature and not a worry in the world. He is also supper loved by his two awesome parents and his favourite uncle who tagged along for the photos.
I haven't been to Irene farm in quite a while and it is still one of my all time favourite places to shoot. Even though the cows do tend to mess up the place a little it still is one of the best backdrops in town. Add a family full of smiles and joy and you have...
We really couldn't have picked a better day for these photos. A beautiful sunny summer Sunday in Pretoria at the always popular Irene Dairy Farm. The dairy farm boasts a really comfortable environment to take photos. Despite the odd whiff of fresh cow dung in the air and the possible fresh pie to stand in, it really is a beautiful, luscious and all round photo friendly area. There are so many great lighting opportunities that we can forget about technicalities and focus on having a bit of fun.
An extremely sunny morning as I met the Mense family at an unusually dry Botanical Garden in Pretoria. Nevertheless we got going with the spirit of their little man who has one of the brightest smiles on the planet. The little guy was certainly in charge and was without doubt the star of this growing German family.
The Menses are a German family who by now would have already landed back home after their three years in our beautiful country. As a last memory they decided a good way to remember the their last few weeks by capturing their beautiful family.
I wish them all the best...
Arno and Carey are officially regulars to my camera with them first gracing my lens just after their little girl was born. This time around we extended the shoot to include her grandparents and her great grandmother who is a very youthful 95 years old! Extremely epic to have the oldest and the youngest girls together for a photo!
It was great afternoon at a very busy venue. We had plenty of fun especially climbing all those hills ha-ha! Nevertheless it was great to be part of their start as a happy family. Wishing Arno and Carey all the best for their future adventures!
